Footwears are a symbol of Marche's craftsmanship, which are manufactured particularly in Civitanova Marche and Montegranaro and they are exported all over the world. In Tolentino the manufacturing of leather produces cloths accessories and sofas. Pottery production is present in the region at all and we have to highlight Ascoli Piceno’s majolics, Casteldurante’s ceramics and Fratterosa’s terracottas. Stone manufacturing is still active in Acquasanta Terme, place which is full of quarries of travertino, and in Acqualagna, where Furlo’s stone is manufactured. Amandola is the centre of wood manufacturing and of the restoration of old forniture. Metals are manufactured in many towns of the four provinces, and in particular copper in Force and wrought iron in Treia and Cagli. Fano’s goldsmiths are internationally well-known as well as Jesi’s jewellery praises a long tradition. Castelfidardo is famous in the world for its physarmonic production and Offida, on the other hand, for its pillow laces. The centre of paper is Fabriano, where near its industrial production still remains the totally artesanal one.
